30-52 Southbourne Road

Again, another group of houses by Kilham & Hopkins in 1912. By design these were a mix of single, detached and semi-detached houses. These “terraces” could accommodate twelve families each. The original idea of the BDHC was to offer houses for $3000 but they cost more like $4800-$5400 each. And in 1922 a study showed that 84% of the residents were white-collar workers.
