Welcome to Trails of Cochise- Apache Dawn Audio Tour

JJ McCracken is part trapper/scout/miner/hunter/rancher and part philosopher as well- he has a sense of humor about most everything, and says most things with a smile in his voice - inspire of all he has done; he doesn’t take himself too seriously; he can laugh at himself also. He’s fair to all but hard on those who deserve it- he calls a spade a spade and is brutally onest- not diplomatic- “life is too short to beat around the bush” he’d say...he’s done a lot and is a bit opinionated, but he’d say he’s earned that right. Above all, he loves Arizona and Apache Country and is very respectful of those who lived here, tamed the land and survived, especially the Apaches, with whom he has a love/hate relationship...

JJ McCracken is our narrator throughout the journey through Southern Arizona touring the ‘real old west.’ This tour begins in Tucson and follows the ‘trail’ to the Cochise Stronghold, the Dragoon Mountains, Willcox through Dos Cabezas, to Ft Bowie and the Apache Pass to the Chiricahua National Park. On to the ghost towns of Courtland and Gleeson, South to Bisbee, Tombstone, East to Sierra Vista, Patagonia and Sonoita, to Nogales. Finally North to Tumacacori and Tubac with a return to Tucson.
