Quinta da Regaleira

There are several monuments to discover in Sintra, but we could not fail to mention the eccentric Quinta da Regaleira. Surely one of the most amazing and unique places in the world.

Most of the current construction of the farm is due to António Augusto Carvalho Monteiro also known as “António of Millions” and began in 1904 and finished in 1910, in the last period of the monarchy.

António Augusto, by the trait of Italian architect Luigi Manini, gives the property of 4 hectares, a palace surrounded by lush gardens, lakes, caves and many strange and mysterious constructions, places that hide alchemical meanings, such as those evoked by Freemasonry, Templars and Pink Cross.

It is one of the monuments with the highest density of neo-medieval symbols known throughout Europe.

They will certainly contribute to an unforgettable personal experience. We highly recommend your visit to this extraordinary place which is just 10 minutes walk from our stop in the center of Vila.
