Above every fire extinguisher is a round sign which indicates what type of fire extinguisher is present and what this extinguisher can be used on. Here we have 2 different fire extinguishers.

Carbon Monoxide - indicated by the black hose and nozzel and the BLACK STRIPE on the Fire extinguisher body. This can be used on the following items: paint, oil, electrical and other liquid fires.

Water  - Indicated by the solid red colour on the body of the extinguisher. This can be used on the following items: wood, paper and rubbish fires. Not for electrical or flammable liquid fires.

Above the fire extinguishers to the right is the Emergency Procedues box. This contains the emergency procedures quick reference guide and todays nursing staff list, that can be used for a head count.

To the left is the evacuation plan - the main department, evacuation assembly area, is north block ultra sound.

To the left of the 2 fire extinguishers is the fire hose. This fire hose will reach half way down the corridoor.

The stairs to the left of the fire hose, can be used as an emergency exit.

Minor theatre has no duress alarm, to get assistance, press the YELLOW staff assist button or RED resus botton.

The ultra sound room has no duress alarms.
