Misty Dixon shares with us about her floral dress.
Our flirty, fun, lavish collection of flowers were inspired by Grandmother, my Nana. Her love for all things pink is represented in our dress, A Walk In Nana’s Flower Garden. We used materials of different textures and shades and intertwined them to represent the design aesthetic I use in my flower shop.
The flowy silver wedding dress represents the growth that my business is experiencing in the wedding flower arena.
It took us approximately 44 hours to create A Walk In Nana’s Flower Garden. Some of our favorite details are the pearls in the bodice and the mixture of green branchy textures draping to the side of the dress.
Materials of raw silk and tulle were used as the base for our dress. A mixture of shades and textures in pinks and green florals were used to create a dramatic side flair.
Shannon and I are new co-workers and our creative styles have meshed together amazingly. Creativity is growing like wildflowers at The Hay Loft!
