Guest Rooms - Edison and Electricity
Although the Rogers family was not spending lavish amounts to furnish these rooms, unlike the first floor public spaces, the guest rooms still feature fixtures made by Bergmann and Company. Note the fine decorative metalwork, flatwork, and the brilliant enamelling. Like the rest of the house, the paint color on these walls is original. The color used here could have come from the beautiful blue in the lighting's enamelwork.
Also note the wiring and gas pipes in the walls and floor that have been left exposed. Hearthstone is one of the few remaining buildings in the world with original Edison wiring in situ.
