Near Eternity: Jeremiah Hulesbos-Spofford

Near Eternity is a temporary solo exhibition of sculptures by Jeremiah Hulsebos-Spofford. It includes artworks from two of the artists' major series' Hyperlexia and Gipsoteca;  meditations on mass-production and the hyper-circulation of images and information in today's culture. The work raises questions about what draws our attention; what will remain, and what do we choose to memorialize?

The exhibition presents three outdoor sculptures in Wilder Park together with a selection of work presented inside the Elmhurst Art Museum from May 30 to August 23, 2026.

Jeremiah Hulsebos-Spofford (b. 1983, Vermont) is a visual artist who makes sculptures and installations to address themes of reproduction, value, and digital culture with humor. Based in Chicago, he is Associate Professor of sculpture and Director of the School of the Arts  at Indiana University Northwest.

This exhibition is supported in part by:

Lakeside Bank, and through grants from Indiana University Northwest and the JCS Arts, Health and Education Fund of DuPage Foundation.
