Herbert's Chair

The living room was a space for the family to gather in the evenings. After dinner Grace could be found reading and playing games with the children. Herbert passed time sitting in this red chair working on puzzles. According to oral histories from his two youngest daughters, Herbert enjoyed puzzles of all kinds. He also spent time playing chess with his sons and sons-in-law.
