Master Bedroom

The large master bedroom is decorated in blue, Grace Dow's favorite color. Grace passed away in 1953, outliving Herbert by 23 years, so this room reflects her interests and personality more than his. It is filled with family portraits and photographs. Above the fireplace you'll see a picture of Herbert Dow and from there if you look to the right you'll see their oldest child, Helen, then their daughter Ruth, and finally Willard on the adjacent wall. This bedroom has an attached dressing room and bathroom and, if you walk through there you'll find the sleeping porch.
