Welcome to the Butterfly House ~

Welcome to the Butterfly House at Historic Spanish Point!  Originally built in 2020 for a display at the Sarasota campus of Selby Gardens, the Butterfly House was eventually relocated to its current location and houses native Florida butterflies and the plants they enjoy.  Upon entry, please note to watch for butterflies when stepping on the shells to avoid their possible landing beneath your feet.  Some of the butterflies highlighted in the house include the Zebra Longwing, Monarch, Gulf Fritillary, Orange-Barred Sulphur, Cloudless Sulphur, and Giant Swallotail.
