What is RUNRES?

The goal of RUNRES is to establish a circular economy of organic waste by capturing the existing organic and human waste streams and transforming them into various products. If successful, these recycled streams of nutrients will allow to increase the resilience of city region food systems, that will benefit from locally available soil amendments, fertilizers and animal feeds.

To achieve this vision of the food system, we follow a transdisciplinary approach that encompasses working across scientific disciplines, but also working with stakeholders outside of academia.
