Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial

Located in downtown Washington, DC, the memorial honors the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, jr and his struggle for freedom, equality and justice.  Dr. King was atireless advocate for racial equality, working class, and the opressed around the world.

Dr. King is perhaps best remebered for his "I have a dream " speech that he delivered on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in August of 1963.

Dr King was assasinated in Memphis, Tennessee on April 4, 1968.
