Pine Swamp

The Pine Swamp is an area just below Hawk Mountain Sanctuary in Berks County. I've hiked there countless times to refresh my spirits and seek inspiration for art. I freely admit I did not take off my work boots for this painting, but I used a healthy dose of imagination for this original work. A pair of empty shoes always seems to tell a story - just ask Vincent Van Gogh or Andrew Wyeth.
