Feathered Friends

A bleak, parched hillside became my placemat for this synthetic composition. I’ve gathered countless feathers on my hikes throughout the years, and many were used as props for this work. The main tree on the horizon is one which I have sketched on location. It’s made a cameo appearance in several other finished paintings.
