New Books Shelf

The New Books shelf is where you can find some of the recent additions to our collection. Books on this shelf are ready to be borrowed, so feel free to check one out if a title catches your eye.

Also in this area is the Professors’ Publications shelf. This is where we put copies of articles, book chapters, or books that your professors have recently published. Take a look to see what some of your professors are researching.

Next to this shelf is the microform workstation, which you can use to look at microfilm or microfiche. Our microform collection is in a cabinet located in the reference section, which we’ll discuss in Station 6. Ask at the circulation desk if you need to access microform and use this machine.

By the entrance to the Mackay Reading Room is the public photocopier. The copier isn’t set up for UCard payments, but you can pay for your pages at the circulation desk with your UCard or with cash. You can’t use the scanner function on the photocopier, but on the table beside it is a public scanner that you are welcome to use. When copying or scanning material in the library, remember to follow the copyright guidelines posted in this area.
