See Sau-Mei Salome “Mappling Through One World”

Using Chinese ink and poster colour with a unique leaves stamping approach on Japanese gold cards, I have created this collage of the four seasons. The maple leaves, which are sourced from twelve countries around the world, are positioned strategically next to one another - American leaves nearby Russian, Iranian and Israeli leaves; Chinese by Canadian, American and Japanese leaves; British by European leaves. At a time of global political turmoil, I want to highlight a message of beauty, cooperation and inclusion despite conflicts and seasons of change.
