Rural Electric Lineman Buddy and Kilgore Oilfield Supply

FDR established the Rural Electrification Agency and Kilgore was a site of distributed power.  Buddy is our friendly local lineman.

The Oilfield Supply Store is at the base of Buddy's pole. Many oil field supply stores existed in East Texas during the boom. Some of the same stores remain in operation today. Check out equipment and patents in the store windows on both sides of the Boomtown doorway.
