Welters' Wonderful Tooth Powder

Dr. E. A. Welters was a Black dentist and entreprenuer who became a legislator and activist. Born in Key West, Florida, Welters graduated from Meharry Dental College in 1910. He first practiced in Jacksonville and St. Augustine before joining the Great  Migration and moving to Chicago. There, he continued to sell his tooth powder which promised to whiten the teeth.
