Cromarty and the Black Isle – a circular tour with lots of options for walks

The Black Isle’s been a favourite day out for us since we moved to the Highlands more than 25 years ago. Despite frequent visits we continue to discover new things about this beautiful and historic area and know we will continue to visit the area long into the future.

The drive we describe would take about an hour and a half to circumnavigate without stopping. But add in our recommended stops and walks at Rosemarkie, Cromarty and Kirkmichael and this tour could last anything from 3 hours to a full day out.
