Headquarters

Camp Horseshoe was officially opened in 1928 for summer camp, though the property was purchased on October 13, 1927.  Prior to operating this camp, Chester County Council used Camp Lafayette from 1919 to 1920, and Camp Rothrock from 1921 to 1927.

The Headquarters building was opened in 1947. The first headquarters of Camp Horseshoe was operated out of the White House building, where it also served as  the camp medical facility.
