Technical Theatre

Welcome to the Theatre! Bear River has a strong Performing and Visual Arts Department. We feel the arts is an important part of education, but not all creative people are interested in being in the spotlight. Technical Theatre is a hands on course for students who prefer creativity from behind the curtain.

Technical Theatre is a CTE course with paid internship opportunities! Technical Theatre is our entry level course covering the basics of Sound, Lights, Set, Costumes, Stage Movement, and what it takes to put on a production. Technical Theatre II students can either focus on Design or on Special Effect and Rigging to further their skill set. Technical Theatre III students become the managers of their own department and are the people in charge of running the productions on campus!

Though COVID has been an interesting challenge for us, all of our Technical Theatre students currently have production work, individual jobs and responsibilities, and are learning to create events for virtual audiences. Click Here to view a video on what our classes have to offer.
