Art WithOut Limits, Artwork Tour

AWOL: Art WithOut Limits features temporary projects outside the confines of the gallery walls, bringing art to our community, as an extension of the GOCA indoor gallery spaces. Creating community through unforgettable shared experiences with art is a guiding goal of the AWOL program. We invite artists to engage with our students and community members, giving a platform to international, national, and regional artists alike. Art WithOut Limits started in 2008 and launched a major new phase in 2018 with the opening of the Ent Center for the Arts, which features numerous sculptures across the grounds. The program was founded and curated by former GOCA director, Daisy McGowan. Thank you to the generous donors who helped make this possible – the Marie Walsh Sharpe Art Foundation, the Bee Vradenburg Foundation, Colorado Creative Industries, the CU President’s Fund for the Humanities, CU Diversity and Inclusive Excellence Fund, the UCCS Green Action Fund, UCCS Student Government Association, and many, many individual donors who believe in what we do. GOCA raises 100% of the funds for AWOL and our gallery programming. We couldn’t do it without these generous supporters. Thank you! The Galleries of Contemporary Art (GOCA) is an academic, non-profit gallery on the UCCS campus. We work to serve the faculty and students as well as the larger community in Colorado Springs. Our two galleries and outdoor sculpture program are located at the Ent Center for the Arts at UCCS.
