USMC Sniper Hathcock in North Vietnam

Hathcock was a well-known sniper in Vietnam. Here he is shown in North Vietnam with the mission of eliminating a North Vietnamese General. His motto was “One shot, one kill.”  To do this at 800 meters took understanding of windage and humidity, as it effected the trajectory of the bullet. Snipers like Hathcock saved many U S soldiers from enemy sniper fire.
