Pond and Waterfall

Here you can see the fish pond.  This pond not only adds beauty to the landscape, but it also benefits local wildlife by providing habitat.  It provides food sources, clean water for drinking or living, shelter, and nesting sites or nesting material for many types of wildlife including birds, dragonflies, frogs, and butterflies.  In turn, we benefit from the ecosystem services that we receive for free by having a pond.  For example, frogs and birds keep bugs in check in our garden.  In addition, since many of our natural wetlands and natural ponds have been removed or degraded, landscape ponds can help create necessary and lost havens for wildlife.
