2018 HP4 RACE

Developed by Christian Gonschor, the HP4 Race featured the world’s first carbon-fiber frame on a stock motorcycle, plus World Superbike-spec Öhlins suspension, Brembo  brakes, titanium exhaust, carbon fiber wheels, and electronics with HP Shift Assistant Pro, Dynamic Traction Control, and programmable engine brake control.  The hand-built four-cylinder engine could cover 5,000 track miles before it needed to  be exchanged for a new one at $17,000. BMW says 750 HP4 Race bikes were built in Berlin, with about 75 sold in the US.
