2010 HP2 SPORT

In 2008, BMW introduced the HP2 Sport, its most powerful, and lightest boxer-engined motorcycle to date. Based on the R 1200 S, the HP2 Sport got Öhlins suspension, Brembo brakes, forged aluminum wheels, carbon fiber bodywork,  a MotoGP-style dashboard, and an electronic “gearshift assistant” for clutchless  shifting. The HP2 Sport sold for $10,000 more than an R 1200 S, and only about 400  were built. The bike seen here is owned by Scott Williams, who says “sport and racing bikes are my passion, especially limited-production bikes showcasing BMW’s  impeccable engineering.”
