Deception in Warfare: Dummy Paratrooper and the Ghost Army

The parachute displayed here is carrying a dummy paratrooper. This prop was used as a decoy to trick the Germans into anticipating an attack elsewhere. Deception played a huge role in our victory in 1944. This strategy was primarily executed by the Ghost Army, a creative force of high IQ soldiers activated on January 20th, 1944, responsible for fabricating dummy paratroopers, rubber jeeps, and tanks.
