Standing on the balcony you overlook a large Southern Live Oak, a small pond, Cattail Marsh and the large Alligator Pond. Slash Pines rise up out of the Flatwoods. Go down to the Alligator Pond and find alligators and turtles. You can see signs marking the trailheads from the pond. There is a Wildlife Observation Blind with birdfeeders that are tended during the fall and winter. On your way back to the parking lot visit the Butterfly Garden; we will be constructing a new butterfly facility soon.
