At the end of the Boardwalk is the Caniff Vistors Center, named after Charles Caniff who's efforts resulted in the creation of Charlotte Harbor Environmental Center in 1987. The visitors center is open from mid October to April and contains exhibits, animals, childrens' activity area and a gift shop. Come on in if it is open or walk around the balcony to find the next stops.
