Kevin Draper. This sculpture comes from a series of similar works that reference disused machinery left in old farm sites or worksites. These stilled implements are like a remnant of a bygone era. With this particular sculpture I remember an old crankshaft component being propped up by a fork stick in the vicinity of a sawmill, close to our farm I like the origin of that the organic holding of the mechanical.
