"Sandra Jorgensen, longtime Chairperson of the Art Department, Professor of Art and
artist in her own right selected the works that entered the collection both through the IAC
program and through direct college purchases. The Elmhurst University art collection, to a great extent, is an expression of her connoisseurship and vision.
Sandra passed away in 1999 shortly after retiring from EC. Over the years she and I often discussed the collection. I consider it an honor to be Curator of the collection she created".
