VILLA DEL BALBIANELLO

An elegant and romantic 18th-century mansion, Villa del Balbianello sits on a peninsula from which there is an enchanting view of the Lario and has hosted writers and travelers of all ages. But it is thanks to its last owner Guido Monzino, the first Italian climber to reach Everest, that Villa del Balbianello has become a small museum.
