From Phil: “The car artwork came about after owning our first MINI Cooper S R56. It was silver grey with red leather and black dash. We thought it looked like a baby Aston Martin, so our license plate was “My Aston”. My nickname was 007 at the time and so I became “Bond on a Budget”. Seven years and 100k miles of twisty roads later it was time for a new car. I had decided on a new theme but when we went to buy the car everyone said I should stick with 007.
We found this car fitted the needs, and we named it ‘Mr. Bond’. When the car arrived, I thought the grey was a little bare. Autuko Automotive Customizing in Richmond, VA came up with the design. The people we have met through owning a MINI and showing the car have been a blessing.”
