We start our tour at the Athens Theatre, a jewel of Italian Rennaisance architecture. When Henry DeLand founded this city in 1876, he hoped that DeLand would someday be a center for music, art, and culture, like the ancient city of Athens in Greece. Today, the 1921 Athens Theatre is a living monument to his dream.
It’s also haunted by the ghosts of two young children from Henry DeLand's own time.
