1989 K 100 RS ABS

In 1988, the K 100 RS introduced the world’s first motorcycle anti-lock brakes on a  special-edition K 100 RS ABS with Mother of Pearl/Bermuda Blue paint, sport  suspension, and Pirelli radial tires. [The K 100 LT was also offered with ABS.] The  example seen here is owned by Bob Henig, whose Bob’s BMW dealership advocated  for ABS when the bikes were new. “We guaranteed they wouldn’t be unhappy, and  that we’d refund the difference if they were,” Bob says. “Not a single customer asked  for their money back.”
