1928 R 57

While the other R 57 on display shows every one of its 95 years, the R 57 seen here has been restored by owner Peter Nettesheim to as-new condition. “The paint is beautiful and the nickel plating is wonderful. The engine runs a little quieter, and it has a little more power because everything is tight,” Peter says. Appearing as it would  have in 1928, this R 57 shows off the engine and leaf-spring front suspension that made it highly desirable to enthusiasts and racers of the late 1920s.
