Photography. 2020
The three works included in Viral Influence are from my 2020 photographic series entitled, "Sleepwalking"
Drawing on the fear and uncertainty of living with the COVID pandemic, the series reflects the distorted space we occupied during the lockdown, as in a nightmare, hoping to awaken.
Despite the emotionally and psychologically challenging situation, I gather inspiration and great focus within isolation. The creative process helps to channel my anxiety and provides me with a means of escape.
Much of my work during this time depicts a darker tone, but I also departed into sunny landscapes and dreamy, magical places.
