Acrylic on Canvas. 2020
This image describes my family members (myself, wife, toddler) in a reality that is otherworldly and unbalanced. It reflects a feeling of time being both repetitive, moving fast, moving slow, and bending and contorting around and within us. Time feels distorted during quarantine life and I felt the need to express this.
the pandemic has allowed me to go back to my original art impulses. I started drawing and creating from my own head, from what's happening in front and inside of me. I have used smaller scaled surfaces and canvases to create images. I started creating more without questioning and over analyzing what I'm trying to make. This process has been both liberating and freeing.
