I've taken dandelion seeds and staged them inside a glass vase to symbolize our 'confinement'. Using multiple images sandwiched together, I've tried to show the 'explosion' of spring, which came upon us while we were still in quarantine.
I'm normally an outdoor photographer either discovering the landscape or documenting the world around me. I also usually travel extensively.
Needless to say, the Covid 19 quarantine has greatly impacted my practice. Coloradans were in quarantine but were allowed to exercise outside and so I took to early morning walks in nature where I collected dried plants, etc. to photograph back home. I eventually ended up placing these natural objects in a glass vase to symbolize my quarantine. In this case, spring was upon us and I gathered dandelion seeds to create the 'explosion' of the new season.
