The “Pandemic Portraits” series tells a story- about a shared experience of uncertain times and the resilience, creativity and hope that emerged in the midst of it.
While the photos are about life during a pandemic, they are also very much so about the subjects. Every shoot was filled with the intention of conveying personalities, interests or some of the ways people are coping with these strange days. In turn, many of the subjects embraced the project in unexpected and wonderful ways. Almost always with the sentiment that being part of something creative, even if it was happening just a few steps outside the front door, was most welcome.
All portraits were taken at people’s homes in and around Denver and Fort Collins between April 2020 and March 2021.
