Interstellar Overdrive looks as if it may be an image taken with an electron microscope. Circles, dots, and patterns of various sizes compete for the viewer's attention in this busy print. The clusters of smaller dots on larger circles and color fields are evocative of bacteria rapidly multiplying in a petri dish.
This particular lithograph was published by Shark's Ink in Lyons Colorado. It is a direct result of the Covid pandemic in that an artist from New York cancelled his visit to Shark's in late April due to his fear of travelling. This opened up an opportunity for me to work on an edition of my own instead. This particular print would not otherwise exist.
