Triceratops Trail Audio Tour

NOTE: This tour is in GOLDEN, CO. If you are at Dinosaur Ridge in MORRISON, CO please note this is a 10-15 min drive 5 miles north of Dinosaur Ridge. For parking near the Triceratops Trailhead, please see: https://dinoridge.org/visit-dinosaur-ridge/triceratops-trail/ (or Google Jones Lot A, Golden CO).

Travel back 68-million years to a fossil site from the last part of the Cretaceous - the literal end of an Era, the last period in the Age of Dinosaurs!

Along the trail are several interpretive signs highlighting clay mining and dinosaur, bird, mammal, insect, and invertebrate tracks and traces. The site is also famous for palm frond and other leaf and plant impressions left behind when this was a delta-like, wet environment.

Be prepared to walk a one mile round-trip on a gravel trail along the edge of the Fossil Trace Golf Course. There are no available amenities on the trail such as restrooms or water fountains.

We recommend that each member in your party download the tour to their own device for a more individual self-paced tour experience. The tour is ordered from the 1st visible stop to the last, or 6th stop that ends at the golf course where you will turn back to exit.

After purchasing your tour, click the Download button at the bottom of the page to download it to your device while connected to Wi-Fi.
