To me, Monument Valley has some of the most iconic southwestern landscapes. While the views from the rim (as shown in the companion piece Valley of the Gods) are impossible to beat, you get an entirely different perspective from the valley floor. You almost can’t believe the enormity of the buttes and pinnacles. As you walk in and around these monoliths (as I did for this photo), you realize how truly small you are.
