This is a special saw blade! It’s really old and has been collected and passed around by some of Denver music’s old, experimental heavy hitters. As Denver became more and more expensive to make art in, people had to move away and I inherited some of the beautiful pieces of steel we used to carry around and bang on in the 90’s. Except she never looked this good.
So I made her a frame that would honor her earthy sound and let her resonate without resistance. I also gave her a grille. The design of the frame she sits in is hand-plasma cut recycled steel and inspired by Moroccan doorways that my traveling bestie sent me while I was stuck in my studio.
