It bounces off the dirt trail
Brushes against fallen leaves
Hits the majestic tree trunk
Descends to the lake.
He stares at the ripple
Water drops splashing up
Infinite concentric circles
Flowing further out from the core,
Ebbing, morphing.
Impact of one moment
Larger than imagination,
Time stands still.
The mind carries on.
