The main house at 29 North was built by Dr. E. S. Boyle in c. 1900. Five years later, he bought the unimproved lot in the back for $110 (that's about $4,000 in today's money).
Dr. Boyle was a director of Tome Institute, a director of Citizen's National Bank, a dentist and a former mayor of Port Deposit. After spending about 40 years in this house and having 2 children, Dr. Boyle died April 8, 1944 from a heart condition at the age of 78.
The gravel parking lot was once a garden with magnificent central fountain as recently as the late 90s.
The back cottage was home to a quaint little neighborhood pub and convenience store about 15 years ago (The Bee's Nest).
