National Museum of African American History and Culture

The National Museum of Afrocan American History and culture museum was established in 2003, and opened in its permanent home in September 2016 with a ceremony led by President Barack Obama.

This museum is a place where Americans can learn about the richness and diversity of the African American experience, what it means to their lives, and how it helped us shape our nation.
