National Mall - Washington Monument to US Capitol

We will begin our tour today, spending a great deal of our time walking along the National Mall.  We will begin the day at the east end of the Mall at the US Capitol.  During the morning, we will visit the National Archives, the Smithsonian Natural History Museum, and the Smithsonian American History Museum.  The American History Museum would be a good stop for you to grab some lunch before we continue our tour.

Accross the Mall from the Natural History Museum is the most recognized of the Smithsonian buildings, the "Castle."  We don't have time on this tour to visit everything Washington has to offer, but I have included some information in this guide for some of the places we will not have time  to visit.

After leaving the American History Museum, we will visit the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.  There, we will walk through an exhibit, "Daniel's Story", the story of a boy growing up in Nazi controlled Germany in the 1930's.
