As you walk toward the Sun Bridge, take a moment to pause under the big maple tree located on the bank of the pond. This is the best view of the Sun Bridge. This concrete structure was designed by Alden Dow and is a great example of nature-inspired architecture. The scoring on either side of the bridge is meant to imitate the rays of the sun. The design of the bridge looks as if the sun is slowly sinking, or setting, into the water below. Take a look at the reflection in the water. What do you notice? The reflection of the bridge reveals a full sun!
