Power in the glens

A circular tour from The Downright Gabbler in Beauly to Glen Affric, Strathglass, Loch Ness, the Caledonian Canal and the Reelig Glen. This tour can be driven in around 3 hours but if you want to explore the stops, experience the spectacular scenery and enjoy a picnic, it will take you at least 4 hours to fully appreciate what it has to offer. Or it could be turned into a full day tour for those who want to be under no pressure. This is the Highlands, enjoy your time here, don’t rush unless you must. Those of us lucky enough to live here don’t. On your tour we recommend several spots that would be perfect to enjoy a picnic and three places where we recommend you take a short walk to soak up the atmosphere. You can stop to take photographs at plenty of other points. These are fairly quiet roads and you will not be holding anyone up. But please be courteous and let local traffic past.
